Empowering Care Through Community Programs
Strengthening Community Care Practices
Sankofa CPE prepares people to show up for others in moments that matter—in grief, in crisis, in transition, and in everyday life.
Our programs are grounded in reflective practice, culturally responsive care, and real-world experience. We train and support people who are already caring for others in their families, communities, and workplaces—and help them build the skills, language, and support systems to do that work with clarity and care.
Through three core program areas, Sankofa strengthens how care is practiced in everyday spaces—across communities, organizations, and systems.

- Culturally responsive care
- Trauma-informed practice

Sankofa’s programs do not replace clinical therapy or licensed mental health treatment. Instead, they strengthen the people, organizations, and communities already providing care every day.
