Rev. Malu Fairley-Collins, B.C.C., C.E. (they/them) is the CPE Program Manager at Sankofa CPE Center. Malu entered the ACPE Certification process in 2012 and began facilitating units in 2013. She became an ACPE Certified Educator CPE Educator in 2018. Malu has over five years of CPE leadership with major accomplishments such as creating the inaugural residency program at CaroMont Health, co-chairing the Atrium Health Palliative Care & Bereavement Committee, and facilitating an enterprise-wide implementation of an Initial Bereavement Care process for inpatient adult populations. They have also led several units of Palliative care focused CPE group with mutiple site placements. Formerly Malu was the Endorser for the Alliance of Baptists where they created an Endorsement Taskforce, facilitated the creation of an Endorsement manual, and oversaw the Endorsement Interview Process. Malu has held various volunteer leadership positions including the ACPE Anti-Bias Task Force member and Vice President of the Board of the Alliance of Baptists.

Malu currently lives in Charlotte, NC, although they spent their childhood “up-top” (Washington Heights, NY). They are a proud graduate of Spelman College (‘02) and Candler School of Theology (‘09). Malu is married to Ezra (he/him) and together they have three children. They are an avid reader, aspiring homesteader, and a sci-fi enthusiast.
